Dr. Mungle's Year End Message to Middle School Families

We hope this message finds you well. As we wrap up this unconventional school year, we would like to thank you, parents and guardians. Over the past two months, you have supported your student’s learning and instruction.  We know that every family has battled challenging circumstances, and yet, because of your support, students have continued to be engaged and learn.

We want to share information on final grades for the school year. At-Home Learning can only have a positive impact on a students’ 4th quarter grade. This means your student may finish the year with a higher grade (not a lower grade) than they earned in the third quarter before schools were closed. Students’ final grades will be available in PowerSchool on Friday, May 29th.

Students will be allowed to keep their Chromebooks throughout the summer. Students should bring their fully charged device in its case to school with them when we return on August 10, 2020. We have created a document for more information about Chromebooks use over the summer. Please click here to view the document.

Finally, we would like your feedback as we continue to evaluate and prepare for what school might look like for students in August. Please take a moment and click here to complete the NLCS Fall 2020 Plans Survey to help us better understand how our families are feeling about instruction in the fall.

Have a safe and relaxing summer!
