Your 8th grade student will soon select his/her courses for next school year.

The middle school years have flown by and BNL is excited to welcome a new class to our family!
Each 8th grader and parent/guardian are invited to 8th grade Parent Night scheduled for February 18th at 6:00pm in the Performing Arts Center at BNL.  Beginning high school is typically both exciting and frightening for many students and families.  Our goal for this evening is to help ease the transition by providing valuable information and to answer any questions that you may have.
Your student will meet with BNL counselors the week of February 15th for scheduling/course request information.  We will cover the same information with 8th graders in the classroom that we cover the evening of the 18th.  Our topics will include diploma requirements, how to submit course requests, brief overview of Advanced Placement, dual credit, and Early College opportunities.  Course request screens for 8th graders will close at 3:00 pm on February 23rd in order for students and families to have plenty of time to make course requests.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, and in order to allow for safe social distancing, it is extremely important that attendance at this event be limited to only the incoming 8th grade student and the parent(s) of that student.  Also, masks must be worn by all attendees at all times.
If you are not comfortable with the in-person parent/guardian night, there will be a video option available, as well.
We look forward to working with the BNL Class of 2025 to schedule their 2021-2022 school year!
