About Springville Elementary
North Lawrence Community School District is located in the northern part of Lawrence County. During the 2018-2019 school year, approximately 4,700 students were enrolled in the school district, which includes 10 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and one high school. The schools are located in and around Bedford, Indiana, a rural community in the south central region. As the “Limestone Capital of the World,” Bedford is home to approximately 14,000 people. Industry includes a Naval base, automobile manufacturing plants, various small businesses, and agriculture. The district is within commuting distance of six degree granting institutions.The current Springville Elementary building was constructed in 1964 with additions made in 1972, 1985, and 2007. Currently, the student enrollment is 230 students. Springville Elementary currently has 11 classrooms, a library, computer lab, RTI/small group room, art room, gymnasium, music room, speech room, resource room, cafeteria, custodian supply rooms, and an office area. The office area contains the main office, principal’s office, the conference room, a teacher work room, two rooms for student records, and the health office.In partnership with students, faculty, families, and the community, our mission at Springville School is to provide a safe learning environment in which every child is respected and given diversified opportunities for growth and development both academically and socially with an emphasis on positive attitudes, responsibilities, and values. Every child is challenged to acquire the skills necessary to be a contributing, productive member of our ever-changing society.We are going to have a GREAT year!
