North Lawrence Career Center

Providing Pathways to Success

  • Ms. Dana Haddan

This week’s Staff Spotlight is Dana Haddan. Ms. Haddan teaches Radio & TV along with the Graphic Design courses here at the North Lawrence Career Center. Ms. Haddan has been a member of the Career Center team for ten years! Before she became a teacher at NLCC, she worked in the graphic and interactive media industry. Ms. Haddan is from right here in Bedford, where as a high school student attended the Career Center in the Graphic Communication program. Ms. Haddan brings quite the experience in her field to our students!

Haddan graduated with her bachelors degree from Indiana University. She then earned her Masters degree from Purdue University in instructional design technology. Some of the things that she enjoys in her free time are running, painting, drawing, and service work affiliated with a children’s home she travels to in Haiti. Needless to say, Ms. Haddan is pretty cool! She is also a mother of 2 amazing kids. Her son Houston is a sophomore at BNL, and daughter Bo is an 8th grader at BMS.

Ms. Haddan is very proud to be a teacher at the Career Center. She explained, “I am most proud of the way I see students who are creative and artistic that might only let their talents be seen in sketchbooks, find ways to apply technology and training to pursue a career in something they love.” Ms. Haddan loves her Career Center students, stating “I love the hands-on environment of my Career Center programs which allow me to interact and connect with students at a level that blesses me to learn their personalities, talents, and gifts.”

Lastly, when asked what your program does to prepare students for their futures, Haddan said, “Students can be ready for entry level design jobs, prepare for secondary education for media production, graphic design, illustration, and many more things. I am very proud of my programs and excited for the future.” Ms. Haddan’s Radio & TV program is housed on the first floor of BNL, while her Graphic Design program is located in Building A of the Career Center. For more information on her programs please do not hesitate to reach out!
