A MESSAGE
FROM Mrs. Charles
Thank you for visiting Stalker Elementary's web-page. As you go through the different sections presented here, you will be getting a glimpse into one of the greatest elementary schools around. As with any truly successful organization, the people who make it up are the key ingredients. Stalker is fortunate to have a wealth of outstanding people who love working with children and continue to help each child achieve his/her personal best. Each person who works at Stalker, from the teaching staff to the support staff, individually strives for excellence.
We have a standard elementary set-up housing classes from grades Kindergarten through fifth, but we are unique in the fact that we also have two Special Education classrooms. It is this diverse population that makes our school so special. The mix of personalities blend together to form a very productive, caring school.
Stalker is a C.L.A.S.S. school. (Connect Learning Assures Successful Students) Each week we focus on learning and practicing a Life Skill. This focus helps our children develop skills they will use to be successful throughout their lives. Daily, children recite our Lifelong Guideline Pledge: I am an active listener; I am truthful and trustworthy; I don't put others down; and everyday I do my personal best.
The Life Skills we work on include: Organization, Friendship, Effort, Cooperation, Responsibility, Initiative, Courage, Caring, Perseverance, Common Sense, Integrity, Problem Solving, Curiosity, Flexibility, Pride, Patience, Resourcefulness, and Sense of Humor.
Our Life Goals are simply:
1. Do the Right Thing
2. Treat People Right
Besides the wonderful academic skills our students are learning, we are also proud of the character skills our children are developing and demonstrating.
As you "visit" each classroom through this web-page, you are going to see some very interesting things being done. I hope you enjoy what we have placed here and that you get a feel for what Stalker is like.
Laura Charles, Principal
