Welcome to the
This school year the
students in grades 1-5 will be studying the ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN as they create fun and
educational works of art.
As we begin the 2009-10
school year each student is creating a self portrait
which will be used as a cover for their sketchbook. The sketchbooks will
be used by the students throughout the school year to record
creative ideas in the
form of quick drawings.
We will also be using
the "Portfolios" art textbook to learn about art. The students
in grades 1 and 2 will be using a "big book" to learn from while the
students in grades 3-5 will have individual textbooks.
