STAFF APPRECIATION

The week of May 7-11 is National Teacher Appreciation Week.  You can thank a teacher that you are able to read this newsletter today.  We've all had some really good teachers as we've grown up.  This would be a good time to drop that teacher a note and let them know they mattered to you.  This would also be a good time to send your child's teacher a note to let them know you appreciate what they have done for your child.  Our staff members care about your children and want them to have the best future possible.

TEACHER HOMEROOM ASSIGNMENTS FOR 2012-13

The current teachers at Lincoln help assign students’ placements for the next school year with the final decision being made by the principal.  As a staff, we

put a lot of time and work into these student placements attempting to get the best placement for each child.  Some criteria we consider in this process include having classrooms with an equal balance of boys and girls, high-middle-low academic abilities, and behavioral concerns.  If a parent has an educational need to address for their child, they may request a form to be completed and return the form to the office by May 11th for consideration.  Completing this form does not assure we will be able to grant your request.  All assignments made will be based on educational decisions.

Food Service

Students who have money (credit) in their Meal Magic accounts will be carried over to the next school year.  Parents may continue to deposit money into the student's accounts over the summer, so that they may start the new school year with credit in their Meal Magic accounts.
